LOS ANGELES - surprised by the statements of Arnold Schwarzenegger, California governor, Republican of faith but more and more liberal in practice. "Marijuana is not a drug," said the Austrian birth in an interview last issue of British magazine "GQ."
Spinelli - Schwarzenegger said he had never taken drugs in his life. At the same time, however, the former Terminator film has admitted to having smoked marijuana in the seventies. The proof was even filmed in the bodybuilding documentary "Pumping Iron" of 1977 (see video ).
NO DRUGS - "This is not about drugs, but only of a leaf," Schwarzenegger told former reporter of the Mirror, Piers Morgan, currently in the entertainment world as a juror in the talent show "America's Got Talent ' . "My drug, however, was lifting weights, I believe," added the governor in his sixties, married to Maria Shriver and father of four children. His spokesman, Aaron McLeo, was quick to say that the comments should be interpreted in a specific context: "The government knows that marijuana is a drug."
